dreaming of Scotland....

So one of the things that i LOVE is Scotland. Everything about it, the history, the people, the architecture, the landscape, the cool breeze, the green, the stone cottages, driving on the left side of the road, the beautiful accents....oh how I love the accents. It's really one of the most amazing places I've been and the only place I ever had that "I'm home" feeling. I always say I must've been a Scot in a former life or something because I can't honestly explain my adoration.

A gal I work with is leaving tonight for a 10 day trip to London and Sevilla, I'm so envious, I haven't gone ANYWHERE let alone even taken a vacation yet this year. And I sat and listened to her detail out her trip I kept thinking to myself why the heck am I sitting on my back-side and not doing, not living, not experiencing...anything really. I know what others feel like when they describe themselves being in a rut. I totally get what a rut is now! I want out! Do you hear me? I want out out out of this darn rut. So, when I feel a longing to get away, I start looking at what it would look like to make that next adventure or trip or day at the spa or whatever. This is where I've landed today and just dreaming about it made me smile and feel a bit not-so-stuck-in-a-rut....

Scotland, I will see you in my dreams tonight my dear!

Everything you've said you love... I love too... except the accents. My mother-in-law is a Scot, haven't got a bloody clue as to what she's saying most of the time.

What gorgeous pics! And if it's any consolation to you I haven't gone anywhere this year either. :( Hope your dreams come true!
